Tooblue Technologies Inc., offers a SharePoint-based product called the CorpNav IE Toolbar for SharePoint that allows SharePoint administrators to publish a centrally-managed (in SharePoint) navigation menu that is ever-present in users’ Internet Explorer browsers.  It’s a very nice way to provide continuity between multiple farms or site collections (which represent natural boundaries for built-in SharePoint navigation) and even external resources.  It also brings many SharePoint features right into the IE Toolbar for ease of access, including multiple search scopes, My Links, and My Site.  It is very convenient for users to have their navigation accessible via the toolbar, negating the need for them to always navigate to the home page and search or navigate around from that launch point.  With the CorpNav IE Toolbar for SharePoint, users can go directly to their destination regardless of what site their browser happens to be at currently.
